Another state is jumping on the Merry Christmas Bill bandwagon.
An Oklahoma state representative is introducing a bill that claims to protect teachers and their religious beliefs.
Oklahoma State Rep. Bobby Cleveland announced that he plans on introducing a bill that would let public school teachers and staff say “Merry Christmas†without fear of retribution.
“There is a war on Christians and Christmas, and anyone who would deny that is not paying close enough attention,†said Rep. Cleveland. “This bill will create a layer of protection for our public school teachers and staff to freely discuss and celebrate Christmas without worrying about offending someone.â€
The bill would also allow public schools to display nativity scenes and allow teachers to discuss the history of Christmas.
