FFRF Threats Cause City Christmas Cross to Come Down

All it took was one threatening letter from the Freedom From Religion Foundation and the “Christmas Cross” of Alsip, Illinois quietly came down, to be replaced by what the town mayor carefully calls a “holiday” tree.

The news of this event has been more against Fox News for reporting that the “War on Christmas Erupts in Illinois“. The story seems to be more important in the national spotlight than it is locally as hardly any notice of it has been made in town.

It should be noted — again — that the FFRF is headquartered in Wisconsin. Nobody in Alsip is known to have actually complained (at least no locals have come forward).
